The Aer Arann Islands website project successfully delivered a modern, user-centric digital platform approximately 16 pages in size, designed to offer a seamless journey from discovery to booking. Key requirements included the integration of a streamlined booking system for daily scenic flights to Inis Mór, Inis Meáin, and Inis Oírr, as well as enquiry forms for private charters. To enhance the immersive experience, the site features high-resolution aerial photography and videography, alongside interactive maps on the homepage and island pages that showcase flight routes and points of interest. The identity was significantly elevated through a refreshed logo and a brand palette that reflects the rugged beauty of the islands, complemented by clean, easy-to-read Google Fonts and a mobile-first, parallax-scrolling layout.

Accessibility was a primary pillar of the development, with the website engineered to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance standards. The project involved a comprehensive site audit to verify adherence to these standards, focusing on essential features such as text alternatives for all media, keyboard-only navigation, and high colour contrast ratios for optimal readability. Furthermore, a dedicated accessibility page was created to outline both website and onsite accessibility support, reinforcing Aer Arann’s commitment to providing an inclusive travel experience for all visitors, including those with additional mobility needs.
