The Glengowla Mines website project has successfully delivered a dynamic, 10-15 page digital presence designed to elevate the experience for its diverse domestic and international visitors.

Central to this was a comprehensive identity upgrade that modernized the brand while respecting its heritage, incorporating improved logo versions and accessible Google Font pairings to ensure a uniform feel across the site and its booking system. Key functional requirements were met through the integration of an efficient online booking platform, immersive video banners, and a translation widget supporting five major languages—English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian—all managed via an intuitive WordPress CMS.

WCAG2.2
Accessibility was prioritized as a core pillar of the project, with the site achieving full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance standards. Significant enhancements included the provision of text alternatives for all media, full keyboard-only navigation functionality, and the maintenance of high color contrast ratios to ensure readability for all users. Furthermore, the project established a dedicated accessibility page and formal statement, reinforcing Glengowla’s commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that its rich educational content on sustainable farming and mining history is reachable for every visitor.
